ABA Interventionist:

Job Requirements:
We strive to hire individuals with strong and diverse backgrounds, who together can provide the most naturalistic and well-rounded therapy to each and every client. All incoming interventionists must hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Special Education, or related field, and most Interventionists come with at least one year of practical experience. Many of Xcite Steps’ interventionists are in the process of furthering their education in the field, pursuing advanced degrees and/or BCBA Certification.

Job Description:
• Implement behavior plan as developed by case supervisor across settings – in home, the community and/or other natural settings
• Provide 1:1 specialized intervention services
• Administer parent education, according to goals described in the treatment plan
• Ensure professionalism and effective communication between all support team members
• Complete necessary program and participant-related documents and reports
• Attend clinic meetings as requested
• Provide accurate feedback to case supervisors
• Keep accurate, thorough, and consistent data
• Manage crisis situations and behavior escalations safely and as defined by the behavior plan
• Provide appropriate social modeling and training, and help facilitate treatment plan
• Maintain open lines of communication with ABA Supervisors, Xcite Steps’ staff, families, and clients
• Complete online time sheets and submit online pay stubs on or before their due dates
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in early childhood education, psychology, nursing or related field, plus one (1) year of related experience with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or other related developmental disabilities; or the equivalent of two (2) years of college coursework at an accredited college or university with a concentration in early childhood education, psychology, nursing or related field, plus three (3) years of related experience with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or other related developmental disabilities.
• Have a fundamental understanding of the various evidence-based and non-evidence based Autism treatment strategies available to clients across settings
• Must have completed in-house clinical ABA trainings with a minimum score of 90% on all training assessments
• Competent in employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies
• Demonstrate good judgment, decision-making, and communication skills
• Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
• Must relate well to children and their families
• Very good working knowledge in all applicable computer programs (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to pass background/fingerprint clearance, health screenings and provide/obtain immunizations
• Reliable transportation, proof of valid California driver’s license, safe driving record, proper auto insurance and vehicle registration
• Has read, understood and agrees to fully comply with all Xcite Steps policies and procedures.

ABA Supervisor:

Xcite Step’s supervisors are held to the highest standards. Our supervisors must possess a graduate degree in psychology, education, or a related field, in addition to Board Certification in Behavior Analysis ® (BCBA).

Job Description:
• Perform functional, behavioral, developmental and other assessments for clients with ASD and other developmental disabilities
• Develop and supervise in=home and community-based behavioral treatment plans for individuals with ASD, developmental, emotional, and cognitive disorders
• Monitor intervention plans via direct observation, parent consult, trends in data, and video analysis, and evaluate their efficacy
• Modify, update and amend individual treatment plans based on progress (or lack of progress
• Manage, coordinate, and train ABA Interventionists
• Utilize social skills training, cognitive and behavioral therapy techniques, group therapy, Pivotal Response Training, Picture Exchange Communication System, and Social Stories to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders
• Implement parent education with empirically validated trainings for new and current interventionists
• Lead and attend meeting and facilitate ongoing trainings for new and current interventionists
• Function as a liaison between Xcite Steps, clients, teachers, health care providers, and therapists
• Attend Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings to assist with the development of goals, present level of performance evaluations, and criteria for IEP goals and IFSP and transition meetings.
• Complete ongoing data analysis and periodic progress reports that demonstrate progress towards goal mastery and recommendations for services, as needed
• Manage and organize client files as required by ethical and legal standards
• Maintain open lines of communication with colleagues, clients, and staff, and respond to all phone calls or email correspondence within a professional and timely manner, i.e. 24 hours or less
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA); Licensed Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Psychologist preferred.
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in early childhood education/development, early childhood special education, special education, psychology or related field
• Two years of related professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a multi-disciplinary team setting preferred.
• Expertise in approaches to intervention based on the science of Applied Behavioral Analysis. Competent in employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies including Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and functional behavior assessment (FBA), Verbal Behavior, Social Skills Training
• Expert knowledge of scientifically validated methodologies and approaches found to benefit children with ASD; familiar with current related research findings.
• Familiar with the field of early intervention
• Knowledge of other community resources and agencies that serve children
• Expertise in all empirically evaluated assessment and intervention strategies related to program and service delivery for individuals with ASD
• Strong clinical, administrative, and leadership skills
• Ability to maintain customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
• Demonstrate good judgment, decision=making, and communication skills with a variety of individuals and groups. Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
